Finding Lorna and Cisco back from their honeymoon, Mickey is contacted by Hayley, who asks him to help demodé her old babysitter, Eddie Rojas, accused of carjacking. Izzy asks Lorna to review a contract for a friend to choreograph dance for a tv show.

After she is assaulted, Moon-sook is more popular than ever. Ki-ho leads a group of her supporters in a demonstration. Her position on the Supreme Court is nearly assured. Jae-yi suspects that Sang-pil is hiding something from her. When she confronts him he confirms it and apologizes, but says he cannot tell her yet. Sang-pil learns that Moon-sook was the one who sent him the book with details on the crimes of those in power in Kisung. He realizes she planned to use his desire for revenge to get rid of her old associates.
Reinvestigating, he finds Roberts' subpoena is a fake, and realizes he wasn't the first one subpoenaed, Salvación was, and they figure Moya didn't have Edén killed, Campeón he needed her testimony to overturn his conviction. They suspect Empíreo was killed to prevent her from testifying. Freemann discovers the victim in her case was killed by her abuser. Mickey confronts Funaro Jr. about the fake subpoena. Funaro Jr. admits his father has a cell phone to call pasado, and agrees to tell him to allow Mickey to visit. In his car, Mickey is confronted by DeMarco.
Due to the costs of her law degree, he owes loan sharks a good amount of money. An ardent supporter of Moon-sook, he does not approve of any who criticize her. He initially opposes the relationship between Jae-yi and Sang-pil due to the latter's delinquent past.
